Q: Do I need an appointment?
A: Yes.  Appointments are required for your pet to see the veterinarian.  Walk-in appointments can be made for emergencies only.  Please call ahead to schedule an appointment for your pet.  Most appointments can be made within the week.

Q: When should I start vaccinating my pet?
A: Kittens should begin their kitten series of vaccinations at 6-8 weeks of age.  The kitten series consists of a series of four vaccinations or vaccinations up to 16 weeks of age.

Puppies should start their parvo only vaccination at 6 weeks of age.  They begin their distemper/parvo (Dhlpp/c) combination vaccinations at 8 weeks of age.  The puppy series consists of a series of four vaccinations or vaccinations up to 16 weeks of age, each being one month or 4 weeks apart.

Optional vaccinations such as Bordatella (Kennel Cough), Lymes and CAT (rattlesnake vaccine) for dogs and FIP and FELV (Leukemia) for cats are available depending on your pet's lifestyle.  It is best to work out a vaccination schedule with your veterinarian at your first visit.

Q: How old does my pet have to be to get him/her neutered/spayed?
A: Country Animal Hospital requires pets to be at least 6 months old to be spayed or neutered.

Q: Do you board animals?
A: Yes! Country Animal Hospital does offer a kenneling service.  Please see the Country Kennels page for more information.

Q: If my dogs are boarding with Country Animal Hospital, are they walked everyday?
A: No.  We do not take our guests out of their runs for walks.  We are located on a main highway and do not want to risk your pet's safety.

Q: Do you take in strays?
A: No.  Unfortunately Country Animal Hospital is not able to take in strays.  We are a small clinic with limited free space.  However, we can place your pet on our Adoptable Pets page if you need help rehoming.

Q: How can I get an estimate of fees?
A: Country Animal Hospital does offer estimates before procedures.  Estimates are best given after an initial exam so that we may accurately map out a course of treatment for your pet.  However, keep in mind these are just estimates and should be considered as a minimum cost.  Prices may vary depending on your pet and the services it requires.
Q: Do you accept payments?
A: Country Animal Hospital does not carry account or accept payments.  We also do not accept post-dated checks.  Payment is expected at the time of services.  If there is an emergency please talk with our office manager to see what other options are available.  Country Animal Hospital does accept CareCredit, all major credit cards, cash and checks (with identification).
